Annual dues cover from December 1st to November 30th. Members will automatically be billed December 1st unless they resign their membership in writing.

Members who have not paid their dues by January 1 of that year will become Members Not In Good Standing at which time they will be notified via email. As per the CAA Bylaws, that membership will be cancelled 4 months after becoming a Member Not In Good Standing.

** 1 FTE = 262 working days. To calculate the number of FTE’s in your organization, add the total number of working days of each avalanche worker and divide by 262.

Interac e-Transfer

The preferred method of membership renewal is through Interac e-Transfer. Simple and direct, this payment method also saves the additional fees associated with credit card transactions (approx. $14,000 annually). We encourage you to use e-transfer when possible; monies saved can then be used to increase member benefits.

When making payment, please make sure to include the exact amount including tax, unless you reside out of country.

Please send e-Transfers to: info@avalancheassociation.ca. If needed, for the security question, please use the answer: avalanche. Please include member name in the comment field.

Once processed, you will be emailed a copy of your paid invoice. If you are unsure if your payment went through or you have any questions, contact Membership Services

Alternative Forms of Payment

Those unable to pay via Interac e-Transfer, can pay via credit card through their CAA account. This process creates and marks your invoice as paid at the same time as payment is taken.

If you prefer to pay by cheque, need an invoice created in advance of payment, or require assistance with your Dues, please contact Membership Services.
