InfoEx

Features.

InfoEx is where your operation records observations, assesses the hazard, and decides how to operate. It’s the same platform used across Canada’s professional avalanche community.

Everyone on the same page

InfoEx isn’t just a record; it’s how your team communicates. Because everyone works in the same system, the whole operation shares one picture of the day, from the morning meeting onward.

Structured workflows

Workflows give your avalanche safety program a consistent structure, with the sequence tailored to how your operation runs. In a single workflow you can:

  • view your reports and reference documents
  • enter observations
  • track the snowpack and persistent weak layers
  • assess the hazard
  • set your operational plan

It’s all saved consistently, in one place, for the record.

Hazard assessment

Assess and document avalanche hazard using the frameworks the profession relies on: avalanche problems and hazard ratings per the Conceptual Model of Avalanche Hazard, persistent-weak-layer tracking, and full snow profiles. Each assessment is saved as a dated record, so you can track how the hazard develops over time, not just where it stands today.

Controlled data entry

Individual sign-ons and user levels let you control how data enters the system. Senior staff can submit directly (one-stage), while less-experienced staff can have their observations reviewed before they’re published (two-stage).

Data views

See your data the way you need to read it. Build fully customizable report views, defined once for your whole operation or personally for you, and display them as tables or geospatially on the map.

Optional extensions

  • Run List: rapid, keyboard-shortcut status entry, photos as you rate, historical status in reports, and a compact PDF to email, print, or take into the field, used by heli- and cat-skiing operations
  • Avalanche Control: quick control-result entry with filtering, plus a photo-based viewer that layers a whole season’s mitigation results across your terrain, used by ski hills and highways programs

[Extension highlight videos to be added here once the new versions are produced.]

Because every observation and decision follows the same structure, everyone works to one standard, and your record shows it.
